EkBe Beauty
DAYS 1–2:
• The pigmented area will appear darker and more saturated than the final result – this is normal.
• You may experience slight redness and swelling around the treated area.
• The area may feel tender or sensitive to touch.
• Some pinpoint lymph discharge may occur in the first 24 hours.
DAYS 3–7:
• The pigment will begin to oxidize and may appear even darker temporarily.
• Light flaking or peeling may start as the skin begins to heal.
• Scabbing should be minimal but may occur in some areas.
• Important: Do not pick, scratch, or remove any flaking skin
or scabs.
DAYS 8–14:
• Flaking and peeling will continue as the outer layer of skin sheds.
• The pigment will appear significantly lighter during this phase -this is normal.
• The treated area may look patchy or uneven as it heals.
WEEKS 4–6:
• The pigment will settle into the skin and begin to show its true color.
• The treated area will continue to blend with surrounding skin.
• Some pigment loss is normal during healing (approximately 20–40%).
LONG-TERM HEALING:
• Final results will be visible 6–8 weeks after the procedure.
• The healed color will be softer and more natural than immediately post-procedure.
• Multiple sessions spaced 8 weeks apart are usually required for optimal coverage and color blending.
• Touch-ups may be needed as skin tone changes with sun exposure or aging.
• Keep the treated area clean and dry.
• Gently cleanse the area with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
• Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment 2–3 times on the first day.
• Avoid getting the area wet for prolonged periods – brief showers are acceptable.
DAYS 2–14:
• Cleanse the area gently twice daily (morning and evening) with mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry completely.
• Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment 2–3 times daily or
whenever the area feels dry.
• Do not over-moisturize – too much ointment can draw out
pigment.
• Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking skin or scabs.
• Avoid rubbing or friction on the treated area.
• Avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area for at least 4 weeks. Once healed, always apply SPF 30+ to prevent fading and discoloration.
• Do not use tanning beds or apply self-tanners to the area
for at least 6 weeks.
• Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for at least
2 weeks.
• Do not apply makeup to the treated area until fully healed (approximately 14 days).
• Avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments near the area for at least 6 weeks.
• Do not shave, wax, or use hair removal products on the treated area
until fully healed.
• Always apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) to the treated area when exposed to sun. UV exposure will cause the pigment to fade and change color
over time.
• Maintain proper skin hydration to keep the pigment looking fresh.
• Avoid harsh exfoliants or anti-aging treatments directly on the camouflaged area, as these can accelerate fading.
• Scar camouflage is a multi-session process requiring patience and realistic expectations.
• Sessions are spaced 8 weeks apart to achieve optimal color matching and coverage.
• Results can last 3–5 years or longer with proper care and sun protection.
• Proper aftercare significantly improves final results.
