• Do not tweeze, thread, or shape your eyebrows within one week prior to your session to ensure the natural brow shape is maintained for the procedure.
• Brow lamination and/or shaping should be done at least one week before your permanent makeup session.
• Allow at least three weeks after any laser resurfacing or chemical peeling before scheduling your permanent makeup appointment to ensure the skin is fully healed.
• Schedule these treatments at least two weeks before your permanent makeup application, or wait until complete healing post-procedure.
• Wait at least one month after receiving botulinum toxin (Botox) treatments before undergoing permanent makeup to ensure muscle stability and optimal skin condition.
2. Health
• Avoid taking antibiotics 2–3 days before the procedure, unless prescribed, to prevent any potential interactions with the pigments or the healing process.
• Refrain from consuming alcohol at least 24 hours before the procedure to minimize bruising and swelling.
• Avoid caffeine on the day of the procedure to help keep you calm and maintain stable blood pressure.
• Do not take any blood-thinning medications, such as Aspirin, within 24 hours before the procedure to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding.
• Menstrual Cycle: You may experience increased sensitivity during your menstrual cycle. For greater comfort, it’s recommended to schedule your procedure a week before or after your period.
3. Retinoids
• If you are taking Accutane or similar strong retinoids, wait 12 months after your last dose before scheduling a session to ensure skin integrity.
• If you are using Retin-A or other topical retinoids, pause use and wait one month before your permanent makeup appointment. You may resume use one month after the procedure.
