What to Expect?
Days 1-2:
– Your permanent makeup will appear brighter initially.
– You may experience slight redness and swelling.
Days 3-5:
– Crusts or scabs will begin to form.
– Peeling may occur during this period.
– Important: Do not pick at or remove the crusts/scabs, as this can cause infection and pigment loss.
Days 6-10:
– The peeling should lessen, and crusts/scabs should naturally fall off.
– The pigmentation in the treated area may appear significantly lighter; this lightening is expected and normal.
Long-Term Healing:
– The true color and final result will not be fully visible until 8-10 weeks after the procedure. The color will appear much softer and more natural by then.
– Your lips will look more natural and lighter than before the permanent makeup. However, for the best results, typically 1-2 sessions are not sufficient. It usually takes 2-5 sessions, depending on the individual case and the personalized approach needed. Some cases may require only 2 sessions, while others may need up to 4 or 5.
– This is part of the lips neutralization process, with our main goal being the lightening and neutralization of the color.
Day of the Procedure:
– On the day of the procedure, there is no need for any special preparation for your lips. In the evening, wash your lips with a gentle, acid-free soap or facial cleanser.
– Pat the area dry with a clean, dry paper towel.
– Keep your lips moisturized. Whenever they feel dry, apply a thin layer of the vitamin ointment provided in your after-care kit.
Following Days:
– For the next 5 days, twice daily – in the morning and evening – gently wipe your lips with the cotton pads provided after the procedure. Then apply a thin layer of the vitamin ointment from your after-care kit. Feel free to moisturize whenever your lips feel dry, but ensure you apply only a small amount of ointment.
General Precautions:
– Avoid steaming, applying additional products, engaging in activities that cause heavy sweating, and do not scratch or scrub the area.
– Do not peel off any crusts or scabs that form.
– From the 5th day onwards, you can resume your normal routine.
– If during the 8-10 week period of lip color stabilization your lips darken, you see patches, uneven color, and you feel uncomfortable – use any lip balm or lipstick to cover them.
– Apply an SPF cream to protect the color from sunlight.
Stages of Lip Neutralization Procedure:
– Permanent makeup typically consists of two main stages: the initial procedure and subsequent touch-ups. However, lips neutralization may require additional sessions.
– A touch-up session should not be scheduled earlier than two months following the initial procedure.
– In some instances, more than two touch-ups may be necessary for dark lip neutralization.
